During the inauguration of the 2024/2025 academic year, the KEN medal was awarded to Wiesław Dobrowolski. Congrats!
On October 1st, 2024 Kaja Bilińska and Erwin Ong joined our Department. Kaja is a computational physicist by training (MSc, PhD) and her scientific interests include prediction with machine learning. Erwin is a computer scientist (MSc) and economist (MBA) by training; academically he focuses on leadership, and professionally on IT project management (Nokia).
Also as of October 1, 2024, our (former) PhD students Weronika Nitka and Tomasz Serafin joined the Department as Assistants. They are both working on energy forecasting.
