As of 1 October 2026, Rafał Wojakowski has joined our Department. Rafał holds a PhD in Finance from HEC Paris 🇫🇷 and his research focuses on the pricing of new types of mortgages. From October to December 2026, we will also be hosting Souhir Ben Amor from the University of Duisburg-Essen 🇩🇪 for a postdoctoral research stay. The group of doctoral students in our Department has also grown by three: Arkadiusz Lipiecki has switched teams 😉, while Oliwia Babuśka and Narges Soleiman Ekhtiari have joined the PWr Doctoral School. Welcome to the team!
The beginning of the academic year is also a time of farewells. Our long-standing colleague Roman Pietroń has retired, while Erwin Ong and Tomasz Serafin have decided to pursue careers in business.
