Our former PhD student – Jakub Nowotarski – received the Polish Prime Minister’s Prize for doctoral theses for 2017 (edition 2018; description in Polish). The distinction is particularly valuable for our Department since Jakub is the only laureate of this year’s edition of the Prime Minister’s Prize from PWr. The PhD defended on June 1st, 2017 was supervised by Rafał Weron, Katarzyna Maciejowska acted as the auxiliary supervisor. Congrats!
