The 2026 convocation ceremony was a joyful event for our Department. It was a special day both for our former PhD student 👩🎓 Weronika Nitka (Rafała Weron’s 8th PhD student) and for Katarzyna Maciejowska, who made her debut as an auxiliary supervisor. What’s more, it was a double debut!
Over the past years, Kasia worked with 👩🎓 Weronika, who in 2025 obtained her PhD in Management and Quality Sciences, as well as with 👨🎓 Tomasz Weron, who in 2025 obtained his PhD in Mathematics. Additionally, Tomek was a researcher in the Short-term forecasting of intraday electricity prices NCN SONATA BIS project led by Kasia.
The ceremony was also attended by the Dean of our Faculty, and at the same time a former colleague from our Department, Anna Kowalska-Pyzalska, who also seemed to be having a great time 😀
